What is biman prasad?

Biman Prasad is a Fijian politician and economist serving as the leader of the National Federation Party (NFP) since 2014. He was born on February 7, 1963, in Fiji and received his education in economics from the University of the South Pacific and the Australian National University.

Before entering politics, Prasad worked as an economist for the Reserve Bank of Fiji and the South Pacific Forum Secretariat. He also served as the director of the Institute of Pacific Studies at the University of the South Pacific.

Prasad has been an active member of the NFP since the 1990s and was elected to parliament in the 2014 elections. He was re-elected in 2018 and is currently serving as an opposition member of parliament.

Prasad is known for his advocacy of economic and social reform and has been a vocal critic of government policies that he views as detrimental to the interests of ordinary Fijians. He has also called for greater transparency and accountability in government and for stronger protections for human rights and freedom of speech.
